I first listened to this one on CD (Juliet Stevenson is the goddess of Austen narrators, if you get the book on tape or CD, find one of her versions). There is a part of this book toward the end, where Anne Elliott, the protagonist, receives a love letter. It is not just a love letter, it is THE love letter. I pulled the car over, reversed the CD and listened again. So, I caused a seven-car pile-up, it was worth it. The 1995 movie with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds is excellent.

Emma - I place this one near the bottom, not because it is so unworthy (I named my lovely daughter Emma, in fact), but because it seems so different from the above mentioned titles. Emma is a flawed character, more than most of Austen's heroines. But still I love Emma, she learns so much about herself, and longs to become a better person. Don't we all, I ask? As for the movies, I personally love Gwyneth Paltrow's Emma, although they cut out a few parts. Kate Beckinsale did a nice Emma, but they added some stuff I could have done without. Even the silly, but sweet update, "Clueless," is worth a look. Alicia Silverstone is so very Emma.

Have you ever taken a photograph or viewed a photograph taken of ordinary people or scenes and seen orbs of light or translucent people in the background of the picture once it was developed? For a skilled traffic lawyer, the main objective is to help the client achieve justice fairly.

Be careful with loud radios and music. Alternate 95 was virtually untraveled and unplowed. Remnant paths of cars gave indications of lanes. It was a tense, long drive. Brittany fell asleep. Heather kept me company. With my eyes glued to the road, I was able to enjoy several hours of her tellings of college life. That was why I had volunteered for this road trip--once Heather gets home she is always so involved with her siblings and friends--I seem to miss out on the one-to-one conversations which bring connectedness. I'd really been missing Heather. This was bittersweet--I was getting all the lowdown, but at the same time I was stressing over the drive. I was grateful for her insomnia.

Traffic lawyers will help you with the most routine traffic violations to the most complicated accidents and cases. Whether you got pulled over for a suspended registration, broken headlight, or starting a 20 traffic pile up, a traffic lawyer will sit down to learn the facts of the case.

Be careful with loud radios and music. Once I had music playing loudly and I did not hear emergency vehicles around me. I could have collided with one of them. From that time on, I always kept my music to a moderate level.

By the way, this safe driving tip applies to anything that takes your attention away from the road. Talking on the phone without a hands-free device, toying with the radio, reaching for something on the floor, and even (in the case of another friend) eating a Rollo while driving can distract you enough that you cannot make effective judgments!

The movie is controversial on two points, and I shall address each. Initially, there is https://sanxuatsoda.pro/ as to whether an American actress (Anne Hathaway) should portray England's beloved Jane. Hathaway's portrayal of Austen is entirely heartfelt, bringing the author's warm, witty personality to life. Her accent was well done, a few misses to be sure, but overall quite believable. As an American, I contend I may be less particular on this issue.

The 17th is an uneventful par three, with no blood drawn. The final hole is a great closer. It's a dogleg right that again requires a tee ball that stays short of a creek about 250 yards out. Anything right ends up in the trees, and trying to hit it long and straight off the tee ends up over the fairway and with a big tree blocking your approach in. After splitting the fairway, I found myself 160 yards away and in need of some last-minute heroics. I striped an eight-iron that was tracking all the way - until it bombed over the flag and ended 40-feet long. Calling my putt aggressive is one way to put it - I blew past the hole and onto the fringe. Not my finest close, with four putts securing yet another inferior showing relative to Hansard.

In addition, whilst sacrilegious it may be to mention, several people have tried to imitate Austen's style, writing sequels and prequels of her works. Obviously, this is just for fun and one can't expect these books to be as exquisite as the real thing (or even close for that matter), but I have enjoyed a few.
